Kamaka Hawaii Handmade Pineapple Ukulele - Pre-Loved
C-3519Couldn't load pickup availability
This is a pre-loved ukulele in about average condition for its age. It's had the tuners replaced at some point but other than that it seems mostly original. We are unsure of the build date but the interior label is one of the originals from 1928. Kamaka are one of the most respected ukulele builders in the world.
Still sounds great, and comes with a hard case.
The Soprano (Standard) Pineapple ukulele was invented and patented by Kamaka Hawaii Founder, Sam Kamaka, Sr. in 1928. The round, pineapple shaped body frame created by Sam Sr. is still used today to craft ukulele by luthiers at the Kamaka factory in Honolulu. The unique, pineapple shape of the ukulele contributes to a fuller, slightly deeper and rounder sound than the Soprano figure eight model, with its quintessential higher pitch. This beautiful design was created in Hawaii for Hawaii musicians and music lovers to enjoy during a time when famous ocean liners like the SS Lurline brought visitors to the islands to experience the beauty and aloha that is Hawaii.
