This is a beautiful, flat backed (often known as Irish) octave mandolin with a solid spruce top and maple back and sides. It has a glorious shimmering tone and is perfect for both fast picking and fat chords.
The octave mandolin is usually tuned GDAE or GDAD (in twinned string pairs), and is practically the same as its larger cousin, the Irish bouzouki, except for a shorter scale length that makes it easy to play.
Comes with a hardshell case.
