The Lowden 2021 Winter Series was an exclusive, highly sought-after line of 25 acoustic guitars built globally. Handcrafted by George Lowden in Northern Ireland, they utilize rare master-grade Sinker Rosewood for the back and sides, paired with Alpine Spruce tops. These bespoke instruments featured luxury appointments such as fiddleback mahogany bindings, abalone purfling, ergonomic soundbox bevels, and hand-signed labels.

The term "sinker" refers to how the wood was sourced. The Guatemalan Rosewood logs used for this series were submerged at the bottom of tropical rivers for over a century. During this long period underwater, the wood absorbed unique minerals and tannins, resulting in an exceptionally tight grain, deep color variations, and highly resonant tonal properties
