The Gibson BB1 (BurstBucker 1) is a Custom Shop/USA humbucker designed to replicate the airy, dynamic tone of late-'50s "Patent Applied For" (PAF) pickups. It features historically unbalanced coil windings and an Alnico 2 magnet.

• Position: Best suited for the neck position due to its lower output.
• DC Resistance: Typically averages around 7.4kΩ to 7.8kΩ.
• Magnet: Alnico II.
• Wiring: Available in vintage-correct braided two-conductor wiring, with some aftermarket versions featuring four-conductor wiring or Gibson's quick-connect system.
