Gibson 1972 Les Paul Deluxe Burst - Pre-Loved

This 1972 Les Paul Deluxe is in good condition for its half-century of life. There quite a few lacquer knocks around the backside of the lower bout and the back, and a few other scratches and scrapes (all visible in the photographs), but nothing that affects playbility or the stunning tone of this guitar. There have also been a few modifications:

• Full professional refret (Jeff Mallia)
• New machine heads
  
• Mahogany '72 neck (not Maple)
• Original plastics, switch, pots, pickups, capacitors, bridge and stop (bridge in case), paint and case all original to the guitar.
  
• Replacement Aged Gotoh bridge currently on factory posts (original in case).
• Original paint and case
• Weighs in at 4.5kg (guitar only)
• Note: the guitar currently has an aged gotoh bridge on the factory posts as this improved playability out of sight. The stock bridge is complete and with the guitar but has started to sag in the middle as these often do. Repairers are re bending these with a jig but the owner wasn’t prepared to mess with it in case something when wrong. You can still use this and put the guitar back if you wish.

First released in 1969, the Deluxe saw the introduction of the mini humbucker to the Les Paul lineup. Mini humbuckers retain the hum-free performance of their full-sized cousins but with a somewhat clearer and brighter tonality. The new Deluxe has features that were inspired by those early models from the 1970s, with a non-weight relief mahogany body and bound maple top, a bound mahogany neck with a rounded C profile
