Empress Effects ParaEQ MKII Deluxe Pedal
EMP-PARAEQMeet the ParaEQ MKII Deluxe—Empress's cult-classic EQ pedal reimagined with serious upgrades that'll make your tone jealous of itself.
This sonic Swiss Army knife features three parametric EQ bands with fully tweakable Q width controls, letting you dial in everything from gentle tone sculpting to laser-focused frequency hunting. Add Baxandall shelving filters and 12dB/oct high and low pass filters to the mix, and you've got the most versatile EQ weapon on any pedalboard.
The real magic? A massive 27V of headroom and whisper-quiet circuitry that keeps distortion below 0.05%—meaning your instrument's natural character stays front and centre, untouched and transparent. The bonus +30dB clean boost section works as a standalone volume lift or pairs with the EQ for perfect make-up gain when you're subtracting frequencies.
Compact footprint with top-mounted jacks, true bypass, and advanced configuration options make this pedal equally at home with guitar, bass, keys, or vocals. Pure tone purity, zero compromise.
FEATURES:
- All-analog signal path to deliver the most organic tone possible
- Ultra transparent sweet sounding EQ to enhance your sound without masking the tone of your instrument
- Lots of control with adjustable/switchable q, fully overlapping sweepable frequency selection, and 15 dB of cut and boost you’ll get all the control you need
- Ultra-quiet - if you put this at the front of your chain and boost a bit you’ll also cut down on the noise your other pedals are introducing
- Loads of headroom – operates internally from a 27V power supply – similar to rack-mount equipment
- +30 dB of boost make it an ideal candidate before long effects chains and overdriving tube amps
- Pristine clean sound - distortion less than 0.05%
- True bypass so you can be sure that it's not affecting the signal when disengaged
- Top mounted jacks make it extra convenient to integrate
- Baxandall shelving filters allow you to effortlessly sweeten your tone with beautiful sounding, super smooth filters for a broad high and low frequency adjustment
- 12 dB/oct high and low pass filters to cut all the noise out of the spaces where your instruments frequency spectrum does not exist
Please note: The Empress ParaEq MKII requires at least 300 mA of current to function properly. Any power supply rated at 9V DC, supplying negative tip polarity and at least 300 mA of current should work.
