The Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi 2 is an analogue fuzz, distortion and sustainer pedal for bass players who want heavy Big Muff character without losing the weight of the instrument. Its circuit uses two dual op-amps, giving it a distinct voice with midrange grind, flexible EQ and the long sustain players expect from a Big Muff-style fuzz.
The control set keeps the familiar VOL, Tone and Sustain layout, then adds bass-focused tools to help the sound sit properly in a band mix. The Blend knob mixes dry and fuzz signals, so you can dial in distortion while keeping note clarity and low-end foundation. The Bass Boost switch adds extra low-end impact, especially when the Tone control is set brighter.
The footswitch supports both latching and momentary operation, letting you click for standard on/off use or press and hold for short bursts of fuzz. Mechanical relay true bypass keeps the signal path practical when the pedal is off.
