Ibanez Artist Series 2618 Double Cutaway - Cherry Wine - Pre-Loved

This is a pre-loved instrument in good condition for its age. It has a number of dinks, scratches and general wear, but nothing that affects the playability. There has been some binding repair carried out around the neck join too. If you require any more photographs or information please don't hesitate to ask.

The 2618 is an Artist series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1976. It was made in Japan by FujiGen.

The 2618 features an carved maple top with cream binding on a double-cutaway mahogany body mated to a set-in laminated maple neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with binding and pearl dot position markers.

Components include a pair of Super 70 humbucking pickups mounted in cream pickup rings with individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-O-Matic style bridge and stop tailpiece, top hat knobs with pointers and Smooth Tuner machine heads.

Extensive changes were introduced for 1977 including the new Gibraltar bridge with sustain block embedded in the body and the slotted Gibraltar tailpiece with scalloped "cloud" ornament, new Super 80 "Flying Finger" pickups, a bone and brass nut, abalone fretboard inlays, speed knobs and VelveTune machine heads.
