1957 Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster - Ice Blue -
C-3376DSince 1987, the Fender Custom Shop—affectionately known around the guitar world as “The Dream Factory”—has grown to a band of over 50 guitar artisans who take Leo Fender’s legacy to its greatest heights by bringing dream guitars and basses to life.
Handmade during the John Page Custom Shop era, this Strat dates from 1997 and is #3 of only 4 made (its serial number is quite literally '3 of 4').
Featuring a stunning figured one piece maple neck, lightweight ash body and gold hardware this guitar is a fine example of Custom Shop craftsmanship.
It has been set up and refretted by internationally acclaimed Australian luthier Chris Melville using stainless steel frets, and what would have originally been a vintage radius fretboard is now closer to 7.5 - 10.5 compound.
The pickups have also been switched out for a set of legendary Hand Wound True Vintage Voodoo ST50s from the late Peter Florance with a treble bleed circuit fitted. These are incredibly close to the original mid 50s Strat sound.
The neck on this guitar is one of the most spectacular burr maples we've seen!
This is a pre-loved guitar in near-mint condition. Please contact us if you would like any further information about this stunning instrument.
