We have to admit that the Fender Esquire is one of our favourite guitars ever. Released in the spring of 1950, the Esquire was Leo Fender’s first stroke of genius. Simplicity personified….one pickup. The Double Esquire was born when you added a neck pickup.
The neck pickup on this Bad Brother is warm with great bass frequencies, but avoiding low-end ‘mud’. The midrange is clear yet vocal and the bridge position is sparkly without that dreaded high end bite!
Overall, this guitar speaks with a clear, round, very musical voice. Clarity & articulation are what makes this Double Esquire so inspiring!
*‘Bad Brothers’ Fender Custom Shop guitars are designed by Guitar Brothers owner Craig Claxton.
They are born out of Craig’s 50+ years experience as a pro guitarist & over 30+ years as a well respected guitar retailer.
