Martin & Co 00-18 1957 Grand Concert

Classic, compact, comfortable—great things come in small packages. This 66 year-old beauty was built in 1957 and is in great condition for its age. 

The period around the '50s is generally regarded as something of a golden age for Martins, and this Grand Concert is a brilliant example. Solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, bound with tourtoiseshell and a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. The headstock is also inlaid with Rosewood, and the tuners are openbacked vintage style that look to be nickel.

Obviously for a guitar of this age there are marks and imperfections; the usual wear, small dings, finish checking and scratches, but it sounds beautiful, and plays like a modern guitar. 

Comes with a non-original hard case.
