Straight from the Fender Custom Shop, built exclusively for Guitar Brothers this is a ‘Bad Brothers’ NOS Double Esquire. Designed for the player looking for something truly unique, this very special guitar has classic looks, subtle modern appointments and plays magnificently.

We have to admit that the Fender Esquire is one of our favourite guitars. Released in the spring of 1950, the Esquire was Leo Fender’s first stroke of genius. Simplicity personified...one pickup! The Double Esquire was born when they added a neck pickup.

The hand-wound pickups on this Bad Brother are warm with great bass frequencies, but avoiding low-end ‘mud’. The midrange is clear yet vocal and the bridge position is sparkly without that dreaded high end brittleness.

Overall, this guitar speaks with a clear, round, very musical voice. Clarity & articulation are what makes this Double Esquire so inspiring!

‘Bad Brothers’ Fender Custom Shop guitars are designed by Guitar Brothers owner Craig Claxton. They are born out of Craig’s 50+ years experience as a pro guitarist & over 30+ years as a well respected guitar retailer.
