Robben Ford is one of the premier electric guitarists today, particularly known for his blues playing as well as his ability to be comfortable in a variety of musical contexts. A four-time Grammy nominee, he has played with artists as diverse as Larry Carlton, Mike Landau, ,Joni Mitchell, Miles Davis ,The Yellowjackets, Jimmy Witherspoon,, George Harrison, Bonnie Raitt, Michael McDonald, and many, many others. Robben Ford will present a master class on guitar and music theory. The class will focus on the basic building blocks of music theory, chord progressions, the use of voicings, listening and improvisation. There will be an emphasis on the importance of the blues in building a strong musical foundation, as well as the understanding and usage of advanced harmony to add dimension to simple music forms and chord progressions.
