The Brisbane Guitar Amp & Vintage Show 2008
The Brisbane Guitar Amp & Vintage Show held at Brisbane City Hall is over for another year and what a show it was. The most amazing guitars amps and effects on the planet all in one place. World class guitarists including USA session giant Louie Shelton and Oz legends Phil Emmanuel, Kirk Lorange, Kevin Borich and Tim Gaze. Incredible gypsy jazz with Nigel Date and Cameron Ford. Jazz virtuosos Jamie Clarke and Bruce Woodward. Simon Gardiner from Roland blew everyone away with his fusion chops. Phill Yates shredded like no other.
The two days were full of fantastic performances and workshops and the best gear around including Ben McGregor for Carvin Guitars and TC Electronics. Some of the gear was seen for the first time in Brisbane.
Like: Zemaitis, Warrior and Suhr guitars were a huge hit. Soldano amps again was the talk of the show. Redlands Guitar Care products, Quantum Cables,and Perrys Leathers were all launched in Brisbane at the show. You could see favourites like Martin,Larrivee, Takamine, D'Aquisto, Maton, Ovation, Tanglewood and many more.
Vintage 40's, 50's and 60's Fender, Gretsch, Martin and Gibson guitars and even 1920's Gibson mandolins were a real talking point of the show.
Over 6000 attended and many smiling faces were seen as they snapped up the thousands of bargains on offer.
It was a great show!!! Thanks to everyone who made it so memorable
